Category:Tovasala first-level words

Listed below are Tovasala words in learning level 1. First-level words are the most important/common/recognisable in that language, and include but are not limited to:

• all simple adpositions such as ad, ten, zol, wob, oid, and prin;
• all simple conjunctions, viz. nend, sed, sif, hoder/hodir, and daisen;
• the majority of equivalents to English words on one or more of this Dictionary's control lists (Swadesh, Leipzig–Jakarta, Landau/LUV, and the General Service List [GSL]).

If a new root is derived from reversing or anagramming the letters of a first-level word, then the result remains in Level 1. Compounding or fusion with another root automatically places it in Level 2 or higher. (Terms from deitical ablaut sequences such as hine/hane/haune [here/there/yon] are also found in Level 2.)

Tovasala's learning-level system is partly inspired by that of Japanese's Kyōiku kanji and Jōyō kanji. In-universe, it is developed/maintained/promoted by the eponymous nation's language agency, Novolsonte.
