{{Deictical ablaut}} is used in select Tovasala Dictionary entries to indicate roots that undergo deixis—where the origo or starting point (ending in -em, -en, or -el) evolves into different related words by distinction level through their last 2-3 letters (-im/-in/-il, -am/-an/-al, or -aum/-aun/-aul). Tovasala employs deixis with the demonstrative esine/esane/esaune (from esène, thing; pronouns) and hine/hane/haune (locational nouns), as well as various terms pertaining to measurement.
