Possibl[y] related to ledu [lɛ̀dò] 'larvae, grub' and legimi [lɛ́imí] 'soft, fuzzy'

This root refers to both the encasing and vehicle type, and is also found in the phrase poizes legĩrdinti (peas in a pod).
